The UGPBAN society belong to bananas’ growers of Guadeloupe and Martinique. There are 600 producers in the two islands. The society markets 250.000 tons of bananas under its own brand: La Banane de Guadeloupe & Martinique. Production is largely from human-sized fams with an average of 13 hectares to cultivate. The 600 independent growers are organized into a cooperative and committed to preserve biodiversity.
